Primary Interests: Physics of medical imaging, Teaching and Innovation.  Trainer of Medical Physics Residents.

Research Interests: Development, improvement and application of functional and molecular imaging methods through nuclear and radiology modalities.

Main Research Projects (as PI):

  • Dutch Heart Foundation/STW: Enclose (total budget 780k€). Early detection of thromboembolic sources and small volume stroke with Spectral CT (2017).
  • ERC Consolidator Grant (total budget 2000k€). Translating Hybrid Imaging for Interventions (2015)
  • VIDI Laureate. Visualizing Tumors in the Operation Theatre (total budget 800k€): Development of Simultaneous X-ray Scintigraphy Imaging (2013).
  • STW Perspectief AIRSPACE project (total budget 860k€): Advanced imaging for risk stratification of stroke patients using CT examinations (2011).
